I had gotten out of the habit -- a run of busy Fridays. As it happens a reader emailed me on a different subject and mentioned liking the R10's so we'll make sure to keep them going.
I'm sufficiently intrigued by the title of the Metheny/Mays piece to have Googled it, to no effect. No backstory turns up. Apparently it's just the sort of random play on words favored by modern jazz musicians.
