ABJ Introduces Blogwatch

In the past I have lamented the fact that the ABJ staff tend to be fairly blog-friendly but blogs get little love on Ohio.com. Yesterday a new blog appeared in my RSS reader -- Blogwatch. As the name implies, online editor Val Pipps will post links to blog posts she he likes. [apologies]

I'd be happy about this even if the Pages didn't get the first post. And I liked particularly liked this point -- one another major Ohio daily apparently missed:

Note: The blogs I will be reading are all partisan. The writers bring their perspectives to the political discussion, which is why people read them. Whether readers agree or not, these men and women often bring ideas to the table that are not covered in traditional media.
As of tonight, Blogwatch doesn't show up in the sidebar along with the other blogs. Time permitting tomorrow I'll try to run down what the plans are. In the meantime, it will be interesting to see what BlogWatch finds interesting.

Hi Scott - thanks for the heads-up - there doesn't seem to be a separate RSS for it - which RSS do you recommend for Ohio.com blogs?

Thanks. :) And you're doing a great job with the Summit Cty. stuff.

If you scroll down to the bottom of the page, you see the WordPress credit info and embedded links for RSS for entries and comments. Actually, I found the blog because it showed up on my RSS-based Technorati monitoring. As such, I don't know how well the feeds work. Apparently Ohiodotcom has a couple things in the works and RSS will presumably be settled once they are in the public domain.
