I think that a quick change in leadership may be worth the cost in the savings alone in light of the more than two years remaining under the mayor. <BR/>I support Mr. Mendenhall's effort to fight the traffic cameras. I do not want civil liberties to be violated by the use of cameras.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13368104.post-3672526352704018902009-03-17T15:56:00.000-04:002009-03-17T15:56:00.000-04:00@ Warner: Funny how you're talking about wasting ...@ Warner: Funny how you're talking about wasting money. How much is this recall going to cost taxpayers in total assuming you win and we have to put a new Mayor in office? It's amazing how you're willing to waste so much money just to change a traffic cam law.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13368104.post-7797350778532424232009-03-11T01:47:00.000-04:002009-03-11T01:47:00.000-04:00Scott, if you settled that case in 15 minutes then...Scott, if you settled that case in 15 minutes then more power to you. I have been in hundreds of negotiations/mediations and have never settled any major case that involved years of litigation in 15 minutes. Thousands of dollars in attorney time were wasted that morning and thousands more are now guaranteed to be wasted because the city attorneys didn't see fit to get settlement authority from their client. Please tell me if anything at all that is posted on www.changeakronnow.com bothers you. And if it does, what have you done to investigate it?Warner Mendenhallhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05776084935439728465noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13368104.post-3407949114883644012009-03-11T01:37:00.000-04:002009-03-11T01:37:00.000-04:00The City Attorneys did not consult their client. ...The City Attorneys did not consult their client. Council people had no idea there was a mediation or any offer to settle. I don't believe city attorneys ever told council what the offer was. My wife has now publicly offered to resolve the case if City Council would amend the law so that owners could present a defense that they were not drivers. The mediation took several hours and involved 6 attorneys and the mediator. If you would look at the facts you might come to a reasonable conclusion.Warner Mendenhallhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05776084935439728465noreply@blogger.com
